Like many of you I suppose, I have the bad habit of singing under the shower… Nice and fun activity but when you start to like the sound of it, well, it makes sense considering becoming better. This encouraged me to take singing lessons from February 2011. This hobby is not only fun, it also helps me improving my English diction and vocabulary.

So from now on, I will publish – under a new page – the songs I am rehearsing and the ones I am covering as an over and above task. Hopefully, some videos should be posted on Youtube but at the moment I need to start recording the songs first!

Of course, I had to provide myself with music hardware and invested in the following stuff:-

• External sound card: Alesis iO2 Express
• Microphone: RODE NT-1
• Keyboard: Yamaha  YPT-210

I plan to write some articles about these items in order to pass-on some tips&tricks I learned while using them.

Finally, you have probably noticed in the title of this post the “Growing up” part. Well, just stay tuned to this blog as I plan to publish more about it in the next few days.

So here I was, surrounded by crazy people in the Zenith of Toulouse, jumping and singing with the band!

The first part of the concert was animated by the band Pain. The music is fun and the singer is really good on the stage so it worst it! Unfortunatly we had to wait 40mins before they could begin, because of a problem with the sound system.

When they finished, and after a short break, Nightwish came and it was… WAOW!!!

At first, I think I was afraid to see the performance of the new singer because her voice is totally different from the previous one. But in fact, I was really surprised and pleased to  see how much energy she put into the concert. So good artist and good performance! And, of course, she sang old songs of the group like WishMaster, Dark chest of Wonders, etc.

The end of the concert came too quickly and I regret they didn’t played Come Cover Me or The Pharaoh Sails To Orion, two of my favorite songs. But the other songs compensate perfectly that!

So thank you Nightwish for coming in and for playing such a good music!
